Pakistan, Turkiye agree to strengthen maritime cooperation

Pakistan and Turkiye have agreed to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the maritime and transport sectors.

The understanding was reached during a meeting between Minister for Maritime Affairs, Muhammad Junaid Anwar Chaudhry, and Turkiye's Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Abdulkadir Uraloglu, held in Istanbul.

During the meeting, the two ministers reviewed the existing cooperation between Pakistan and Turkiye and discussed ways to expand collaboration in maritime affairs, transport infrastructure and logistics.

They underscored the importance of closer coordination in strengthening economic ties between the two brotherly countries.

The two sides reaffirmed their commitment to expanding bilateral cooperation across strategic sectors and strengthening economic and commercial ties.
