United Nations Children’s Fund says civil war continues to take a horrific toll on children in Yemen. 

In a statement, Executive Director of UNICEF, Henrietta Fore urged desperate need to save millions of children from starvation in the country.

She emphasized for a comprehensive peace agreement to give children the reprieve from violence and war that they need and deserve.

UNICEF Regional Director for Middle East and North Africa, Geert Cappelaer has also called on warring parties in Yemen to put an end to violence and allow humanitarian deliveries to children in the country.

Meanwhile, three civilians were killed and ten others injured when intensified Houthi shelling targeted residential neighborhoods in Red Sea port city of Hodeidah.
