India can’t mislead Kashmiri people and international community against Pakistan

110 days of Indian military lockdown, no end to night raids, mass detentions and torture in IOK  

It is a big move for Pakistan and Kashmiri people that international media is taking notice of grave situation in Kashmir. 

Everybody is appreciating the efforts of Pakistani government and people for supporting Kashmiri people in this crucial time.

Pakistan has once again urged India to immediately restore internet and phone services and release all the prisoners in occupied Kashmir as the lockdown in the valley entered its third month. “India should allow international media and human rights observers to visit occupied Kashmir to independently observe the situation there.”

 

The spokesperson said terrorism and extremism is rising in India. It is a moment for the Indian society to introspect as to which way they are embarking upon. he spokesperson regretted that the Kashmiris are not being allowed to offer their Friday prayers at mosques. Dubbing it as contrary to international laws and conventions, he urged the international community including the United Nations to take notice of the brutal suppression of the religious rights and freedoms of Kashmiri people.

 

Foreign Minister has sent another letter to UN secretary General, appealing him to intervene for resolving the Kashmir issue and stop India from human rights violations.  He said all out efforts would be made to refocusing on Kashmir issue.

Indian forces abducting and killing innocent Kashmiri youth in IOK. All educational institutions have been closed since 5th of August, and new generation of Kashmir is forcefully stopped to get education.

 

All political and religious parties should join together and make a comprehensive strategy about Kashmir. Pakistan can defeat India by making the country economically strong.

 

Delegates at an International Conference in Turkey emphasized the need to defuse military tensions in South Asia as both Pakistan and India are nuclear armed states and any miscalculation could be of disastrous consequences for the entire world.

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has dubbed Kashmir as an important pillar of Pakistan's foreign policy. He was talking to a group of media persons led by President Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists Afzal Butt in Islamabad. He said Pakistan will continue its moral, diplomatic and political support to Kashmiri brethren in their principled struggle for right to self-determination.

 

Calling media an important part of state, Shah Mahmood Qureshi said the role of international and Pakistani media proved exemplary in highlighting the Pakistani stance on Kashmir issue.

 

The media persons praised the Foreign Minister on effectively highlighting the Indian atrocities against innocent Kashmiris and running a successful policy on important issues including Kashmir.

Due to continued lockdown, people have more difficulties to face in the coming days as they have not been able to stock essential commodities for the harsh winter as the only surface link of territory remains closed for months.

 

There is no other example in the world that people are kept hostile for over 110 days, where human rights are being violated, where children are not permitted to go to schools, and where people are being deprived of their basic rights. 

 

They have been deprived of basic and fundamental rights such as right to life, right to education and healthcare and right to practice their religion.

Pakistan has said it is “deeply concerned” at the absence of action by the 15-member body to halt India’s violations of human rights and its resolutions in the disputed state of Jammu and Kashmir.

 

Extremist Hindus do not want to tolerate any other minority. The Indian minorities have no religious freedom. The time for India's destruction is not far. The justice for Indian minorities especially to Muslims is not possible through Indian courts. RSS has influence on all state institutions. There is an environment of anarchy in India. The situation in Kashmir will get worst after the lifting of curfew.

In occupied Kashmir, contrary to the claims of ‘normalcy’ by Indian officials and media in New Delhi, the situation on the ground in the territory especially in the Kashmir Valley remains grim as India-imposed lockdown entered 110th straight day.

 

School children and civil society in the different parts of the country held protests & walks to express solidarity with the people of Occupied Kashmir. Students participating in protest walk said Indian forces are using pellet guns to blind the children and youth have been jailed.

International Conference in Turkey stressed that international human rights organizations, observers and independent media should be allowed to visit occupied Kashmir. They were unanimous in their views that Jammu and Kashmir dispute should be resolved in accordance with the UN resolutions.

 

The President of Pakistan said that China is playing a very balanced and positive role for peace and development in the region. He said that as Pakistan is an agrarian country, agriculture is the backbone of the national economy, so, we can turn about our economy by promoting this sector.

Leading scholars, parliamentarians, journalists and writers from across the world unanimously condemned India`s unilateral and illegal decision on August 5th to change the special status of Kashmir.

 

The participants of International conference held in Turkey expressed serious concern over the grave human rights situation in Occupied Kashmir and the growing trend of Hindutva in India which threatens minorities.
