The European Union says it is exerting efforts to defuse growing tension between Palestinians and Israelis in Occupied West Bank.   

Talking to reporters in Ramallah, spokesman of the EU in the Palestinian territories, Shadi Othman said bloc is working to calm things down between both sides because it is not in the interest of any party to keep tension flaring that might lead to a comprehensive escalation.
