The grade 1 to 5 classes in the schools resumed from Wednesday across the country under strict Covid-19 Standard Operating Procedure after a period of six months.

The decision was taken unanimously in the meeting of National Command and Operation Centre in Islamabad.      

Briefing the media persons, Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training Shafqat Mehmood along with Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Health, Dr. Faisal Sultan said the decision has been taken in consultation with all the federating units including Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

He said the decision has also been taken keeping in view the current situation regarding the Coronavirus pandemic which is under control.
