Ali Sarwar Naqvi (Former Ambassador): The high level visit of Chinese delegation led by Member of the Politburo of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Director of its Foreign Affairs Commission Yang Jiechi is very significant in many ways. The visit comes in a very appropriate time especially when Pakistan was blocked by India to participate in BRICS summit held in China in near past. I think the whole range of bilateral relationship between two countries is being discussed during this visit that will eventually take this historical bond to the new heights. CPEC which is a major part of Belt and Road Initiative of China will also get impetus after this visit.
Arif Kamal (Former Ambassador): The presence of high level Chinese delegation in Pakistan is an opportunity for us to learn and take advantage of massive economic growth that China has achieved. This visit will definitely cement and further accelerate the economic ties between two countries. Pakistani government should address the points of concerns that are being highlighted by Chinese government time and again including the security of Chinese nationals working here in different sectors.
