Analysts urge PTI Chief to shun his politics of anarchy and disruption
November 27, 2022

Rana Ihsaan Afzal (Special Assistant to Prime Minister): There was an air of uncertainty in national politics after the call of long march by PTI Chief Imran Khan. However, Imran Khan could only pull a crowd of a few thousand people in his Rawalpindi congregation contrary to his claims of brining millions of people. His lofty claims of international conspiracy and real freedom now stand exposed before the people. Imran Khan also backtracked from his conspiracy theory of cipher which shows that it was not based on facts. Imran Khan has targeted and maligned all national institutions, including army, for the sake of getting power. Imran Khan’s long march has achieved nothing but to damage the economy and disrupting the lives of ordinary people. As for his decision to resign from provincial assemblies is concerned, it will not impact much. He has failed in all his tactics to bring down the government and to grab power.

Dr. Farooq Adil (Senior Analyst): Imran Khan has taken himself to a blind alley where there is no return. Politics is the name of reconciliation and dialogue and not becoming stubborn. PTI Chief could not understand the dynamics of politics. His announcement of resignations from provincial assemblies is not serious as PTI members who resigned from national assembly are still taking all the privileges and benefits. As far the provincial assemblies are concerned, it is yet to be seen if they will oblige the wishes of PTI Chief. Initiative at the national level is not in the hands of Imran Khan. Imran Khan has held so many marches and congregations but they failed miserably.  We do not consider Imran Khan as a true politician. Imran Khan has destroyed the hopes and expectations of a large number of Pakistanis.
