Prime Minister Imran Khan has directed to convene a high-level inter-ministerial meeting to devise a strategy to overcome the threat of coronavirus.

According to Prime Minister's Office, the Prime Minister also gave instructions to adopt advanced preventive measures and devising an integrated strategy in the wake of risk of coronavirus spread.

A letter has been sent to the ministries concerned by the Prime Minister Office in this regard.

It says keeping in view the presence of a large number of Chinese citizens in Pakistan and significant number of persons travelling between Pakistan and China, the possibility of spread of coronavirus in Pakistan cannot be ruled out.
