Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has called for provision of immediate humanitarian assistance to the people of Afghanistan.

Talking to an eight-member delegation of Dawat-e-Islami, led by Haji Imran Attari in Islamabad today [Friday], he said we are in contact with the international community to provide humanitarian assistance to Afghan citizens.

The delegation informed the Foreign Minister that Dawat-e-Islami is a non-political organization which is actively involved in welfare activities all over the world.

Appreciating the welfare activities of Dawat-e-Islami, the Foreign Minister said Islam teaches brotherhood and love.
