The Punjab Assembly on Thursday approved the Provincial Budget amounting to 5,335 billion rupees for the next fiscal year 2025-26.

The session was held this afternoon at the Assembly Building in Lahore, with Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmed Khan in the chair.

During today's proceedings, the House discussed and approved the Demands for Grants related to Municipalities and Autonomous Institutions, rejecting the Cut Motions moved by the Opposition.

Later, the remaining Demands for Grants were passed through the Guillotine procedure.

The budget session has been adjourned to meet again tomorrow afternoon at 2 PM at the Assembly Building in Lahore.
