In Azad Kashmir, rallies and demonstrations were held at all the Districts and Tehsil headquarters against illegal Indian occupation over Kashmir.

In Muzaffarabad, different political, social and religious organizations staged protest demonstrations and rallies to observe the black day.

The main protest demonstration jointly organized by Kashmir Liberation Cell and Pasban Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir was held at Burhan Muzaffar Wani Shaheed Chowk.

Later, a rally led by Pakistan Peoples’ Party AJK Chapter President Chaudhary Latif Akbar and others was taken out from Burhani Wani Shaheed Chowk to Afzal Guru Chowk

Addressing on the occasion, speakers said that India, which usurped the fundamental rights of Kashmiris has no right to celebrate its so called Republic Day.

Large number of people holding banners and placards shouted anti-India and pro-freedom slogans. They also released black balloons in the air.

At the end, participants of the rally presented a memorandum to United Nations Observers Mission Office in Muzaffarabad.
