The United Kingdom has pledged 155 million Pound aid to support peace and stability in Afghanistan.

A statement issued by the British Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office in London said that the UK aid pledge for 2021 would help reduce child mortality rates and improve access to education and vital infrastructure.

It added that an additional 15 million Pound emergency support would help the most vulnerable cope with the cold winter and COVID-19.
