Analysts appreciate Pakistan’s strong commitment to Kashmiris’ struggle for right to self-determination
September 24, 2021

Dr. Rasheed Ahmad Khan (IR Expert): India's attempt to isolate Pakistan would never succeed. The people of Kashmir have been facing the worst atrocities for the last four decades. The issue of Kashmir must be resolved in accordance with the UN resolution. Indian forces are habitual of violating international laws. Indian troops deliberately target innocent civilians at LoC. The Indian government is issuing fake domiciles to change the demographic composition of illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Pakistan has many times warned the global community regarding consequences of Indian state sponsored terrorism. The Muslims living in India are not safe due to their religious identity. The Indian government is committing the worst human rights violations in held territory. The Indian government is aimed to deprive Muslims from their basic rights. The Modi regime has tarnished the secular face of India.

Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Raza Muhammad Khan (Defense Analyst): It is a diplomatic victory of Pakistan that the Kashmir issue is being discussed at international level. Pakistan has always highlighted the Kashmir issue and sensitized the world community regarding Indian brutalities in IIOJ&K. Islamophobia is at rise in India and Muslims are being persecuted on the basis of their faith. Muslims in India are treated as second class citizens. We hope that the OIC and United States would take notice of severe human rights violations in India. A practical approach must be adopted to stop Indian brutalities in IIOJ&K. The world powers have observed criminal silence on Indian brutalities because of their economic and strategic interests. India's role as a proxy is against New Delhi's own interests.

Dr. Amna Mehmood (IR Expert): Prime Minister Imran Khan in his speech at the UNGA would be a true representation of the sentiments of the people of Pakistan. The PM has always opposed Indian unilateral decision to change the special status of Jammu and Kashmir. Pakistan has a clear stance regarding Afghanistan that the global community must recognize the Taliban's government in Kabul. The world powers must help the Afghan government to rebuild Afghanistan. The world should not abandon Afghanistan at this point of time. Any chaos and turbulence in Afghanistan would bring catastrophic consequences for the whole region.
