In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ&K), Hurriyat leaders have said that Kashmir is an international dispute as has been recognized by UN resolutions, and needs to be addressed accordingly.

The leaders in their statements issued in Srinagar on Monday said, internationally recognized status of the Kashmir dispute is an established fact and there is no doubt about it.

They said India’s August 5, 2019 illegal and unilateral moves can’t change the fact that J&K is not New Delhi’s internal matter but an international issue.

They said that New Delhi’s August 5, 2019 actions were in contravention of the UN resolutions.

The leaders urged the International community and the United Nations to take notice of Indian illegal authoritarian moves vis-à-vis Kashmir and put pressure on India to honour international commitments on Kashmir.
