The International Committee of the Red Cross has urged the international community to engage with Taliban as aid groups on their own would be unable to stave off a humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan.

In a statement, Director General Robert Mardini said Red Cross has since increased its efforts in the country but the support from international community was critical to providing basic services.
