Kuwait's Emir Sheikh Nawaf al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah has dissolved Parliament and called for general elections.

In a televised speech, Kuwait's Crown Prince Sheikh Meshal al-Ahmad al-Sabah said the decision has been made according to Article 107 of the constitution, with aim to correct political path in the country.
