Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser says Kashmir issue is the unsettled agenda of the partition plan of subcontinent and leaving it unresolved would put peace of the region at stake.

Talking to President Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Masood Khan in Islamabad, he said the Parliament of Pakistan will stand by their Kashmiri brethren in their just struggle for right of self-determination.

Asad Qaiser said the recent unconstitutional and inhumane steps taken by the present Indian regime in the occupied valley have been raised at all Parliamentary Forums.

He said the standing committees on human rights and foreign affairs as well as parliamentary committee on Kashmir have been directed to raise Kashmir issue globally.

Current situation of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir and further ways and means to highlight the issue at international level came under discussion.

Chairman Parliamentary Committee for Kashmir Shehryar Afridi was also present in the meeting.

The AJK President said the recent discussions in UK House of Commons and European Union are clear depiction of awareness caused by the effective diplomatic and parliamentary efforts.
