More than 33 million children under five year of age received their vaccination during the sub-national anti-polio campaign.

The campaign was conducted from 7 to 11th in 124 districts of the country including Islamabad and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

The sub-national campaign was inaugurated by Prime Minister Imran Khan reaffirming the government's commitment to eradicate polio.

Meanwhile, in a statement, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Health Dr Faisal Sultan congratulated the Provincial Governments and partners for the successful anti-polio campaign across the country.

He said it is the most critical time for the programme to reach and sustain zero polio cases.
