Analysts appreciate Pakistan’s steadfast and consistent support to Kashmir cause
July 20, 2021

Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan (Former AJK Prime Minister): PTI leadership, including Prime Minister Imran Khan, deserves appreciation for highlighting Kashmir issue at all appropriate international forums. Massive human rights violations being committed by Indian troops in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir are posing serious threat to regional peace and stability. There is no power on earth that can undo Pakistan.  International community, including the United Nations, should take notice of massive brutalities and atrocities being committed by Indian troops in IIOJ&K.  Negotiated settlement of the Kashmir dispute is the only viable option to promote peace and stability in the region.

Khalid Khattak (Former Ambassador): India is using all means at its disposal to create instability in Pakistan. Its role in Afghanistan is of peace spoiler. It does not want stability in the war torn country to keep its influence there. Indian policy on Kashmir has also become bankrupt and whole world is now realizing the human rights violations being committed by New Delhi in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.  Pakistan is highlighting the illegal occupation of India in Kashmir and its brutal tactics to subjugate the local people.

Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Asif Yasin Malik (Defense Analyst):  Kashmiris have been suffering under the illegal occupation of India since the last over 72 years. They are not able to observe various festivals and religious occasions freely. It is a serious issue and requires immediate world attention. The people sacrificing the animals on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha must remember the Kashmiris who have been suffering. On the one hand, India puts restrictions on Muslims of sacrificing cows, but on the other hand it is one of the biggest exporters of beef in the world. Kashmiris have been subject to restrictions in all walks of life. The claim of India being a secular country is in jeopardy as it is increasingly becoming a Hindu fascist state.

Dr. Rashid Ahmed Khan (Expert on International Relations): India is habitual of leveling baseless allegations against Pakistan. India cannot succeed in its efforts to isolate Pakistan at global level.  Now, the world community has recognized that unresolved Kashmir dispute is posing serious threat to regional peace and stability.  Under the current circumstances, there is a need to set our own house in order. We should set aside our political differences, and adopt unanimous stance on all issues of national and international significance, including the Kashmir dispute. Kashmir is Pakistan's jugular vein and India's decision to alter its special status poses challenges to the country's security and integrity. There is a need that proactive diplomatic campaign should be launched in the world capitals and at the United Nations to apprise the world community about Kashmir issue.
