In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, complete shutdown was observed, today, against the killing of four civilians by Indian troops in a fake encounter in Srinagar this week.

Call for the strike was given by the illegally detained All Parties Hurriyat Conference Chairman, Masarrat Aalam Butt, and the Hurriyat forum led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and supported by almost all Hurriyat leaders and organizations and High Court Bar Association.

Shops and business establishments were closed and the vehicular movement on the roads was very thin.

The occupation authorities deployed Indian troops and police personnel in strength in Srinagar and other major towns of the territory to prevent people from staging demonstrations against the cold blooded murder of innocent civilians.

The authorities once again disallowed people to offer Juma prayers at Jamia Masjid Srinagar.

Despite heavy deployment of Indian forces’ personnel, people offered funeral prayers in absentia in several mosques of the occupied territory for the victims of Hyderpora fake encounter.
