AJK PM calls upon int'l community to check HR violations in occupied Kashmir

Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir Raja Farooq Haider has called upon international community to give timely response to check human rights violations in the occupied Kashmir.

He was addressing a gathering of Members of European and Belgian Parliaments, Members of Friends of Kashmir Group and Kashmiri leaders and community in Brussels.

He said India has given license to its security forces under special Acts for genocide of people of Kashmir.  He said that Human Rights must be given precedence over economic interests with India.

Member British Parliament Afzal Khan on the occasion said that peace in the region is the most important for the progress of people in India and Pakistan.

He said in India more than 360 million people are living below the poverty line whereas India is spending huge amount on arms.

The participants expressed grave concerns over the situation of human rights in occupied Kashmir and reiterated full support to suppressed Kashmiris.
