In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, people defied India's attempt to create confusion over date of Eid Milad-ul-Nabi Sallalaho Aleyhe Wa Allehi Wassalam and celebrated it along with Pakistan, today, with religious zeal and fervor.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the Indian government deliberately avoided issuing a clear order regarding the holiday on Eid Milad-ul-Nabi Sallalaho Aleyhe Wa Allehi Wassalam, leaving government employees and schools uncertain.

However, in a show of unity, Kashmiris rejected the Indian government's attempt to create division and celebrated Eid Milad-ul-Nabi Sallalaho Aleyhe Wa Allehi Wassalam with Pakistan, reaffirming their commitment to their faith and heritage.

Meanwhile, Indian authorities have tightened restrictions in the name of security across occupied Jammu and Kashmir ahead of the first phase of so called assembly elections.

The multi-tier security arrangement includes deploying Central Armed Paramilitary Forces and Indian police to secure polling stations and booths.

A fresh BBC report has indicated that the Modi’s Bharatiya Janata Party is facing growing dissatisfaction in both Jammu and Kashmir valley due to its policies.

The elections, the first since the revocation of Kashmir's special status in 2019, have seen a shift from historical boycotts to challenge the BJP policies.

The BBC report sees that no one is betting on the BJP as its chances are bleak due to its weak base in the valley.
