APHC calls upon UN to prevent genocide, targeting of civilian population by Indian forces in IIOJ&K
June 17, 2021

In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has called upon the United Nations to prevent the genocide, custodial killings and targeting of civilian population in the garb of incessant cordon and search operations carried out by Indian forces in the territory.

In a statement, APHC Assistant General Secretary, Khawaja Firdous urged the World Body to resolve the long-pending Kashmir dispute in accordance with the UN Security Council resolutions and Kashmiris’ aspirations.

He said India as an absolute illegal occupier of Jammu and Kashmir has no right to suppress the ongoing resistance movement fully supported by the people for their UN-acknowledged right to self-determination.

An analytical report released by Kashmir Media Service, today, revealed that the Indian troops martyred 55 Kashmiris so far this year.

It pointed out that 357 innocent people have been killed by the brutal troops during the ongoing military siege imposed by Modi-led fascist Indian regime on August 05, 2019.

The report further said that not only Kashmiris, but religious minorities, particularly Muslims in India are also feeling insecure as attacks by Hindu mobs have increased manifold since BJP came to power.
