Minister of State on Finance and Revenue Dr Aisha Ghous Pasha held a meeting with Country Director World Bank Najy Benhassine at the Finance Division on Tuesday.

The World Bank's Country Director apprised the Minister on World Bank funded Development Policy Financing, RISE-II, and stated that this program aims to bring fiscal and economic reforms in the country.

The Minister of State said that the government is cognizant of the importance of program ‘RISE-II’ and reiterated the commitment of the government with regards to bringing fiscal reforms in the country.

She said regarding the pending prior actions federal government will take up the matter with provinces for expediting the progress

She appreciated the commitment of World Bank and reiterated the firm dedication of the government in undertaking the needed reforms to achieve macroeconomic stability, build fiscal resilience and stimulate economic recovery.
