Due to lack of interest shown by previous government, the projects under CPEC got delayed. The incumbent government has accelerated the pace on CPEC projects. Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal holds expertise in CPEC and is spearheading work on it.
Humayun Iqbal Shami (Economist): The unnecessary delay in execution of CPEC during previous government has slowed down the pace of this mega project. However, the new government is committed to complete the projects on fast track basis. China being a true friend of Pakistan is helping Islamabad in a number of sectors.
