Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain says the Indian politicians' irresponsible attitude toward Covid-19 SOPs was a major cause of the current critical situation of the pandemic in India.

In a tweet on Monday, he said the Covid patients in India are lying helpless on roads because of lack of space in hospitals and shortage of oxygenated beds.

The Minister said the Covid-19 SOPs were violated in the election campaign in Uttar Pradesh. He said the same attitude is being witnessed in Pakistan on part of PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz. In this context, the Minister also shared a video of Maryam Nawaz's address to a recent public gathering in Sheikhupura.
