National Assembly resumed its session at the Parliament House in Islamabad on Tuesday with Speaker Asad Qaiser in the chair.

Continuing debate on budget in National Assembly, the Leader of the Opposition Shahbaz Sharif said the government should focus on reducing inflation, providing quality education and health facilities to the people.

He was of the view that a large number of people have gone below the poverty line since Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf came to power as inflation and unemployment are on the rise.

He demanded of the government to reduce prices of daily items and indirect tax to provide relief to the common people of Pakistan.

The Speaker adjourned the House due to rumpus from both the treasury and the opposition benches and now the session will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow.
