Finance Advisor Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh has said that joint venture with private sector is imperative to ensure economic development of the country.
Addressing Peace and Development Conference in Islamabad today, he said successful process of development and prosperity is not possible without support of private sector.
He said the government has taken bold steps to facilitate business community and foreign investors as well.
He said Pakistan is facing much challenges on economic and security fronts.
Addressing the occasion Minister for Planning Division Makhdoom Khurso Bakhtiar said that the government is also working on Economic Corridor from Torkham to Dushanbe.
He said this project will be implemented with the support of World Bank.
The Minister said roads will be constructed and rail tracks will also be laid down under the project.
