Chinese Guizhou Tea Association has expressed desire to cooperate with Pakistan in black tea production.

In an interview in Beijing, Secretary General of the association, Xu Jiamin, said Pakistan being the third largest tea importer in the world, consumes a lot of imported tea every year.

He said breakthroughs in related technology through research can increase productivity, and reduce cost of tea.

He said tea production in Pakistan can play a big role in poverty alleviation by promoting rural employment and increasing farmers' income as has already been done in Guizhou, China.
