An International Aid Conference on Afghanistan is being held in Geneva today [Monday] under the aegis of the United Nations to save the country from humanitarian crisis.

The conference is aimed to raise more than 600 million dollars for Afghanistan. The event will be attended by the UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, the head of the International Committee of the Red Cross Peter Maurer, as well as dozens of government representatives including German foreign minister Heiko Maas.

The conference will also appeal for unimpeded humanitarian access in order to ensure the provision of the multiple services to the people of Afghanistan as per their requirements.
