The International Criminal Court has expressing concern over the escalating violence in the occupied West Bank and has said there is possibility that war crimes are being committed there.

Prosecutor Fatou Bensouda, in a Tweet, noted great concern in escalation of violence in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, as well as in and around Gaza.

She urged Israel to stop violence and called all parties to keep restraint.

Meanwhile, in a statement issued after their virtual meeting, Arab foreign ministers have strongly condemned the brutal and systematic crimes by the Israeli forces in the occupied city of Jerusalem.

They also strongly condemned Israel for undermining the freedom of worship in the Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.

The Arab foreign ministers called on the United Nations and international organizations, including the UN Security Council, to assume legal, moral and humanitarian responsibilities in order to immediately stop Israeli aggression, provide protection for Palestinian people and preserve their rights to freedom of worship.

They also called on the International Criminal Court to proceed with its criminal investigation into war crimes and crimes against humanity committed by Israel against the Palestinian people.
