The United Nations has voiced grave concern over recent escalation in Palestine-Israel tensions that has led to casualties including women and children.

In a statement, UN Secretary-General's spokesman Stephane Dujarric expressed the resolve to work with all sides to de-escalate the tensions and said Israeli Defence Forces must exercise restraint.
