Tourism promoting following improvement in security situation: President
December 11, 2019

President Arif Alvi has said tourism is promoting in Pakistan following improvement in security situation and the defeat inflicted to the terrorists by the security forces.

He was addressing a photo exhibition organized by Pakistan National Council of the Arts in Islamabad today (Wednesday).

The President said that about fifteen to sixteen thousand tourists visited Gilgit Baltistan in the year 2014-15 but this year the figure has reached over two million.

He stressed that art and craft should be used to portray the beautiful face of Pakistan in the outside world.

Referring to the Indian posture against minorities especially Muslims, the President said Modi government will never succeed its sordid designs of writing off Muslims from the history of sub-continent.

He said the latest Indian citizenship legislation as well as its earlier drive of registration in Assam are an attacks on the Muslims to isolate them.

The President said the Indian citizenship legislation is contrary to the UN Charter as well as the agreements with Pakistan.

Arif Alvi said the Indian forces are spilling the blood of innocent people in occupied Kashmir. He said we also need to portray these atrocities to the world.
