In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, complete shutdown was observed to memorize the sacrifices of senior Hurriyat leader, Sheikh Abdul Aziz for the freedom cause of Kashmir on his 12th martyrdom anniversary, today.

According to Kashmir Media Service, call for the strike was given by the All Parties Hurriyat Conference and supported by almost all Hurriyat leaders and organizations.

Sheikh Abdul Aziz was shot dead by Indian troops while he was leading a march from Srinagar to the Line of Control on this day in 2008.

Meanwhile, killing of three missing Kashmiri labourers by Indian troops in yet another fake encounter in Shopian has drawn severe criticism across the Kashmir valley.
