The World Health Organization has urged the governments to refrain from vaccinating children against coronavirus until the elderly receive the vaccine.

The WHO plea comes after Canada authorised the use of Pfizer vaccine on children.

According to Director of WHO’s vaccines and immunization department, Dr Kate O’Brien, the priority really needs to be getting the vaccine to all countries in the world for the highest priority groups before we start advancing to groups that have much lower risk of disease.
