Parliamentary Secretary for Inter-Provincial Coordination (IPC) Syma Nadeem has said her ministry is taking steps to facilitate women sportspersons through a transparent and merit-based process.

In an interview with Radio Pakistan's News and Current Affairs channel, she said cash awards and medals have been announced to women players, besides upgrading living facilities of the sports women.

She said a liaison has been established with parents of women players convincing them to facilitate their daughters to show their mettle in sports.

Answering a question, Syma Nadeem said Pakistan Sports Board has taken all possible measures to disinfect its facilities, including hostels and various offices, besides conducting Corona tests of the people.
