Ali Sarwar Naqvi (Former Ambassador): The situation in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir is worsening day by day and the lives of Kashmiri people are very miserable. Unfortunately, the international community prioritizes its national interests with India as India is a big trade market so unable to pressurize India for giving the Kashmiri people their right to plebiscite. The joint sitting of the Parliament has expressed solidarity with the people of Kashmir for their right to self-determination, which is very positive development. This development will definitely send a strong message to Indian government. It is the era of social media and international media is also mobilized and exposing Indian human rights violations in IIOJ&K. Most recently, the BBC report has totally exposed the policies of Narendra Modi. However, despite of the worst atrocities by the Indian forces, the Kashmiris are determined and will never step back from their demand of self-determination. The civilized world must contribute to resolve the Kashmir dispute in accordance with UN resolutions.

Dr. Rasheed Ahmed Khan (IR Expert): The people of Pakistan and AJK are very much concerned about the worsening situation in Indian Illegally Jammu and Kashmir. The joint session of the parliament passed a resolution and expressed solidarity with the oppressed Kashmiri people in their struggle for realization of their right to self-determination. The Kashmir dispute has been internationalized and Pakistan has played an important role in highlighting the Kashmir issue on all international forums. The oppressed people of Kashmir are determined to get their right to decide for their future in accordance with UN resolutions. Although India is not adopting flexibility in giving the right to self-determination to Kashmiri people, the sacrifices of the Kashmiris in this regard will never go in vain. Indians can't hide behind its tactics for a longer period of time and sooner or later Kashmiris will get freedom from Illegal Indian occupation for which they have been striving for decades.
