In India, an immense outrage has broken around the globe over the public flogging of a group of Muslim youth by police amid public cheers state of Gujarat.

Human rights groups and prominent individuals from other countries expressed their grave concern over the public flogging of nine Muslims after they were tied to a pole by Gujarat Police in Kheda district.

Amnesty International has termed the incident utter disrespect towards rule of law” and a serious human rights violation.
