In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, senior Hurriyat leader Engineer Farooq Ahmad Khan died in Sopore on Monday.

Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference Chairman Shabbir Ahmad Dar and other Hurriyat organizations paid rich tribute to Engineer Farooq Ahmad Khan and for his lifelong struggle for Kashmiri peoples' right to self-determination.             

He had spent more than 15 years in Delhi's infamous Tihar jail.
