The Chinese state-owned defense corporation, Norinco Group has showed keen interest to further enhance strategic relationship with Pakistan, by undertaking joint ventures in the field of telecommunications.

The interest was shown by the representatives of Norinco at a meeting with Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Syed Amin-ul-Haque in Islamabad.

They also discussed cooperation in the telecom sector, Backhaul Fiber Optics Network, and Safe City project.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication, said the IT sector has a vast potential and incentives to attract foreign direct investment in the country.
