Kashmir Solidarity Day observed across world

Kashmir Solidarity Day events were organized in other capitals and cities of the world to draw world attention towards the plight of oppressed Kashmiri people.

The event in Dubai was attended by a large number of Pakistani and Kashmiris community living in the UAE.

On the occasion, the speakers lauded the role of Pakistan for effectively highlighting the case of Kashmir at international forums and condemned the atrocities committed by Indian forces in occupied Kashmir.

The speakers demanded international community to play a positive role to force India to lift curfew in occupied Kashmir and stop human right violations forthwith.

In Geneva, a protest demonstration was staged by Pakistan Geneva Association and Pakistan Swiss Friendship Forum in front of the UN office to support the Kashmiri struggle for right to self-determination.

A briefing session was also held Pakistani Mission in Geneva where Ambassador Khalil Hashmi briefed the representatives of international civil society regarding Indian atrocities against hapless Kashmiris.

In London, a protest was staged by students of City University London in front of 10 Downing Street. The students chanted slogans against the brutality of Indian forces in occupied Kashmir and fascist policies of Modi against the minorities.

In Oslo, Norway, a protest demonstration was organized by Pakistani and Kashmiri diaspora in front of Norwegian Parliament to mark the solidarity with the people of occupied Kashmir. They chanted slogans against India.

An awareness program regarding Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir was arranged in Mashhad, Iran. About 150 individuals participated in the event including diplomatic heads, Foreign Office Staff of Iran, Notables and Pakistani diaspora. Indian atrocities were highlighted through a series of exhibitions, songs, video clips, banners and speeches by participants. The Consul General of Iraq in an interview expressed solidarity with oppressed Kashmiris people and denounced Indian atrocities.

In Herat, Afghanistan, banners and posters were placed on the road side and infront of Pakistani Consulate depicting Indian atrocities against Kashmiri people.

In Istanbul, Consulate General of Pakistan organized a program in connection with the day which was attended by people from different segments of the society.

A protest demonstration to commemorate Kashmir Solidarity Day was staged by the civil society in front of Dhaka Press Club, Bangladesh.

The Speakers demanded freedom and justice for the oppressed Kashmiri people.

They also condemned Indian state terrorism and atrocities in the held valley.

The Speakers expressed their firm solidarity with their Kashmiri brethren.
