December 05, 2024

Pakistan has reaffirmed its commitment to leveraging international best practices, fostering collaboration with Saudi Arabia, and driving forward the economic and social transformation agenda.

This commitment was expressed at a workshop, titled "Saudi-Pak Economic Collaboration Taskforce - Pakistan Transformation."

Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, Prime Minister's Coordinator Rana Ehsan, Ambassador at Large Salman Ahmed, Advisor to the Finance Minister Khurram Shehzad, all Federal Secretaries, senior government officers from the federal government and representatives from provincial governments virtually attended the workshop.

Addressing the participants, the Finance Minister highlighted the importance of learning from KSA's Vision 2030 model, an exemplary model of robust implementation strategies. Highlighting the focus on "People, Process, and Technology", he emphasized the need to adopt practices that ensure successful transformation outcomes while considering Pakistan's unique socio-economic context.

The Minister said reforms must not only be implemented but also institutionalized, making them difficult to reverse.

The workshop serves as a significant step in the ongoing collaboration between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia to enhance economic ties and share best practices for governance and transformation.
