The All Parties Hurriyat Conference has strongly condemned the Modi regime’s unrelenting crackdown on the people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas in a statement issued in Srinagar, has called these actions part of a broader strategy to suppress the Kashmiri population, crush dissent and undermine their fundamental rights.

He noted that the Indian government’s actions were designed to create a climate of fear and insecurity among Kashmiris.

The APHC spokesman highlighted the growing pattern of arrests under false charges, targeting political activists, youth and social workers who challenge the regime’s oppressive policies in the territory.

Meanwhile, senior National Conference leader and Indian MP Ruhullah Mehdi has raised concerns in Parliament over two proposed railway lines in south Kashmir.

He argued that the projects would impact 288 hectares of prime agricultural land, vital to the livelihoods of three point five million Kashmiris.

He questioned the necessity of the railway lines, labelling the initiatives as "colonial" for disregarding local needs.

People’s Democratic Party leader Iltija Mufti also condemned the seizure of fertile agricultural land for the railways, terming it an attack on the livelihoods of Kashmiris.
