President calls for involving private sector to benefit from NSPP experiences

President Dr Arif Alvi has said that the vision of National School of Public Policy (NSPP) as an excellent institution imparting training to the civil servants must be maintained.

He stated this at 16th meeting of the Board of Governors, NSPP which was held under his chairmanship in Lahore on Thursday.

The President emphasized the need for involving private sector to benefit from its input and experiences.

He underscored the importance of close collaboration with training institutions of excellence in the world in order to learn from international best practices and to make NSPP an internationally competitive training institute.

Dr Arif Alvi said training of the faculty is also very important so that they could learn and employ modern training techniques and tools to further improve the existing models.

Various items of agenda, including ratification of decisions taken during 15th meeting, came under discussion and after thorough deliberation, decisions were made accordingly for the smooth and efficient functioning of the institution.
