The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021-a major cricket event in India has been postponed due to the worst spike of COVID-19 cases and deaths in the country.

In a tweet, the Governing Council of IPL said the decision has been made unanimously in consultation with the Board of Control for Cricket in India.
