Special Assistant on Social Protection and Poverty Alleviation Dr. Sania Nishtar says National Poverty Graduation Initiative (NPGI) and Undergraduate Scholarships Programme has been launched under the Ehsaas program.
Talking to Presidents of all Pakistan Women Chambers accompanied by leadership of Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) in Islamabad on Tuesday, she said the initiatives were launched with fifty percent places reserved for women and girls.
The Special Assistant said more women are required to have opportunities to learn, earn and thrive to grow country's economy.
The meeting took stock of key challenges and opportunities for women entrepreneurs and explored options for supporting the Women Chambers under the Ehsaas programme.
Presidents and members of Women Chambers highlighted the need for institutional support to run the secretariats of the Chambers.
