Special Assistant on Information and Broadcasting Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan has criticized PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari for linking legislation in the parliament with his political agenda.

In his tweets on Tuesday, she said it is the fundamental responsibility of the parliament to legislate. She said linking it with the political agenda is unparliamentary, unconstitutional and undemocratic.

The Special Assistant urged the PPP Chairman to ponder over the matters whilst rising above the political blackmailing. She noted that using the parliament for political blackmailing is highly negative and contrary to the claims of the PPP.

She said those who tried to create hurdles in the way of legislation aimed at national interests will be considered opportunists.

Firdous Ashiq Awan said Prime Minister Imran Khan is fighting for the cause of Pakistan and this irks the opposition.
