Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Farrukh Habib has said that the government believes in promotion of sports in the country.

Talking to Reporters after witnessing the Inter Media Azadi Cup in Islamabad this evening, the minister said that Kashmir Premier League will leave message of peace across the globe. While lamenting the approach of Indian Prime Minister Modi regarding the KPL, Farrukh Habib said that he is following the RSS' extremist ideology which is against of peace.

Replying to a question he said former international cricketers are being threatened and warned by the Indian cricket board against taking part in the inaugural Kashmir Premier League cricket tournament which shows their negative approach.

The minister said that Pakistan Cricket Board should take up the issue of KPL with International CricketCouncil.
