In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, All Parties Hurriyat Conference has strongly condemned killing and arrest spree unleashed by Indian forces’ personnel in the held valley.

In a statement in Srinagar, APHC urged world community to play a role in putting an immediate halt to Indian state terrorism in the territory.

Meanwhile, noted Indian journalist Rana Ayyub has been awarded 2022 International John Aubuchon Award, the highest award for a free press in the United States.

In a tweet, she said it is a testing time for journalism in India. She dedicated the award to her colleagues Mohammad Zubair, Siddique Kappan and Asif Sultan who are languishing in different Indian prisons for criticizing Narendra Modi-led fascist government’s anti-Muslim and anti-minority policies and brutalities in IIOJK.

The US Ambassador at Large for International Religious Freedom Rashad Hussain at a panel discussion in Washington said the United States is concerned at open calls being made for genocide of Muslims in India.

He said dehumanizing rhetoric is escalating the persecution of India’s minorities, creating a challenge for the US.
