The day dawned with special prayers in mosques and other religious places for prosperity and development of the country.

National flags were hoisted in all Government and private building in GB.

The award distribution ceremony was held in Governor House Gilgit where Raja Jalal Hussain Maqpoon conferred awards on behalf of President of Pakistan.

The heirs of Senior Libertarian late Muhammad Ashraf Ali received Pride of performance award while Prof Dr. Uzma Saleem was conferred Tanga-e- Imtiaz .
